Engineered to deliver reliable energy, around the clock.

Two 660 MW supercritical units, fuelled directly from the mine, delivering dependable electricity to the Sumatra grid — held to a Three Zero standard.

01Power Plant

The largest mine-mouth power station in Sumatra.

Tanjung Lalang Power Plant (Sumsel-8 MMCFPP) comprises two 660 MW supercritical units (1,320 MW total) with a net dependable capacity of 1,243.44 MW. Located beside the Bangko Tengah mine in Tanjung Lalang, it converts coal into power just metres from the source.

Its scale and competitive, mine-mouth fuel cost make it a strong, dependable contributor to the Sumatra electricity system under the national merit order.

Supercritical Boilers

Steam generated under supercritical conditions improves the conversion of fuel into electricity, achieving a net thermal efficiency of 33.43%.

Emission Control System

Low-NOx Burners, Electrostatic Precipitators, Flue-Gas Desulphurisation Systems, and a Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS) installed at the chimney and integrated with SISPEK help control and continuously monitor emissions to support compliance with applicable environmental regulations.

AGC, Free Governor & PSS

Automatic Generation Control (AGC), Free Governor, and Power System Stabiliser (PSS) support real-time grid stability and reliable system operation.

Mine-Mouth Coal Supply

Coal is transported approximately 1.5 km by conveyor directly from the mine, supporting efficient, continuous, and low-logistics fuel delivery.
