PUSPASADA wins at the Nusantara CSR Awards 2025

PT Huadian Bukit Asam Power (HBAP) made a proud achievement by winning an award at the Nusantara CSR Awards 2025 organized by La Tofi School of Social Responsibility, a credible national institution in the field of social responsibility and sustainability.

In this event, HBAP was recognized for the success and real impact of the PUSPASADA (Village Waste Processing Center) program, which was implemented in the Tanjung Lalang PLTU operational area (Sumsel-8 Mine Mouth PLTU Project).

The PUSPASADA program is present as a concrete solution to the problem of waste management, especially in rural areas. Through a holistic approach that includes community education, the use of biodigester-based waste processing technology, and local economic empowerment, this program has succeeded in creating an integrated waste management system that is environmentally friendly, sustainable, and has economic value.

1. Sorting and Recycling

Waste is sorted at the household level, then processed into compost, handicrafts, and valuable products.

2. Biodigester Technology

Organic waste is converted into biogas for cooking purposes and liquid fertilizer for agriculture.

3. Community Empowerment

Managed by community groups, this program opens new economic opportunities through waste banks and waste-based businesses.

4. Transparent and Participatory System

The collection process, sorting, and sales are managed openly by community groups, with regular operational schedules every week.

Through this approach, HBAP not only reduces emissions and environmental pollution, but also helps villagers save on household costs, increase environmental awareness, and strengthen energy independence.

Prestigious Awards

The Nusantara CSR Awards is an annual national event attended by more than 30 leading companies in Indonesia. Participants include large state-owned enterprises such as PT PLN (Persero), PT Pertamina (Persero), and Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), as well as national private companies such as PT CIMB Niaga Tbk and PT Petrokimia Gresik. This award is a barometer of excellent CSR practices that prioritize the principles of sustainability and social innovation.
