HBAP earns a Blue PROPER rating for 2024–2025

The Ministry of Environment confirmed full compliance with environmental regulations at Sumsel-8 across the assessment period.
PT Huadian Bukit Asam Power (HBAP) has earned a Blue PROPER rating from the Ministry of Environment for the 2024–2025 assessment period. The certificate, dated Jakarta, 7 April 2026, is signed by the Deputy for Pollution and Environmental Damage Control of the Ministry of Environment/Environmental Control Agency, and was handed over at the South Sumatra Provincial Environment and Land Agency.
The rating recognises that the operator of Sumsel-8 MMCFPP met every compliance criterion for environmental management throughout the period. The key parameters include the management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, air-pollution control, and keeping wastewater within the quality standards set in the plant’s environmental impact assessment (AMDAL).
The result confirms HBAP’s commitment to transparent, responsible business practice, and gives a firm base for raising its standards further — including the care of biodiversity around the operating area.
