Plant fire brigade helps put out land fires in Ring 1 villages

In August 2026 the Sumsel-8 fire brigade joined three land-fire responses around the plant, working alongside local authorities.
In August 2026 the fire brigade of Sumsel-8 MMCFPP (2×660 MW) worked with the relevant authorities to tackle land fires in the Ring 1 villages around the power station, helping to put out the flames and stop them from spreading.
The team responded to three incidents: on 18 August in Tanjung Agung village (Jl. Talang Abik), and on 20 August at Bumi Sawindo Permai (BSP) and in Pulau Panggung village.
For HBAP this is more than firefighting. It is part of looking after the environment and the safety of the communities the plant shares its land with — when our neighbours need help, the team is ready to respond.
