In a form of concern and help to ease the burden of the community due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and in order to welcome Ramadan 1442 H, the Sumsel-8 Mine Mouth Coal Fired Power Plant (Sumsel-8 MMCFPP) provided food assistance in the form of 800 staple food packages to ring I of the Company, residents of Tanjung Agung District, on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. The food assistance consisting of 5 kgs of rice, 1 kg of sugar, and 1 kg of oil was symbolically handed over by the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Team of Sumsel-8 MMCFPP to Mr. Syafri, as the Head of Pulau Panggung Village, at the Office of the Head of Pulau Panggung Village. Mr. Syafri expressed his gratitude to the Management of Sumsel-8 MMCFPP for the initiation in distributing basic foods during the holy month of Ramadan 2021. In line with the Head of Pulau Panggung Village, Mr. Ilwan Utama, as the Head of Darmo Village, also expressed his appreciation for the distribution of staple foods and prayed for the Sumsel-8 MMCFPP construction project to run smoothly. The CSR manager of PT Huadian Bukit Asam Power (PT HBAP), Mr. Giana Hadi Wagiana, said that the distribution of staple foods is a form of concern of Sumsel-8 MMCFPP to the community, especially the community around the Company. "We are concerned about the impact of Covid-19 and contribute to helping the residents of Tanjung Agung, especially the Company's ring 1 residents," he said, Wednesday, May 5, 2021.
