PT HBAP held a socialization on fire and earthquake prevention at SMAN 1 Tanjung Agung

Last June 19 2024, PT HBAP held a series of activities to commemorate Safety Month and World Environment Day. At SMAN 1 Tanjung Agung, PT HBAP held an outreach on fire and earthquake prevention. This event was welcomed by the school with the hope that teachers and students could protect themselves and prevent greater losses in fire and earthquake emergency situations.

Apart from socialization, PT HBAP also held a drawing competition with the theme "Environmentally Friendly PLTU" which was attended by students from elementary, middle and high school levels. This competition is a forum for students to express their creativity as well as educate them about the importance of protecting the environment.

The highlight of this event will continue on June 20 2024 with planting activities on the riverbank in the water intake area. The plant seeds planted come from village farmer groups around the PLTU, while the compost (kasgot) used is the result of maggot residue cultivated at PLTU Sumsel 8. This activity not only beautifies the environment but also involves the local community in preserving nature.

Through this series of activities, PT HBAP is committed to increasing awareness of the importance of safety and environmental preservation, as well as building positive collaboration with the surrounding community.
