Collaboration of Two Members of Huadian Group and Bukit Asam Group in Carbon Trading

PT Huadian Bukit Asam Power (HBAP) and PT Bukit Pembangkit Innovative (BPI), which are engaged in the field of Mine Mouth power generation, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Priority Commitments in Carbon Trading.

China Huadian HongKong Company Limited (CHDHK) and PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) support strategic cooperation in an effort to strengthen carbon trading in Indonesia. This synergy is expected to be able to encourage the implementation of the green energy transition and achieve carbon emission reduction targets in accordance with national and global commitments.

The signing of the MoU was carried out by Anita Parma (HBAP Commercial Director) and Wibisono (BPI President Director) in Surabaya on Thursday, September 12, 2024. This event was also witnessed directly by the Board of Directors of PTBA, HBAP President Director Gu Qiucheng and HBAP Deputy President Director Dody Arsadian. In addition, representatives from the Ministry of SOEs and MIND ID, as well as HBAP President Commissioner Hageng Suryo Nugroho, were also present online.

HBAP and BPI will leverage each other's strengths, both in terms of technology and resources, to develop an innovative carbon trading platform. This is expected to not only benefit both companies, but also have a positive impact on other industry players who want to participate in the emission reduction program.
