HBAP Realizes Commitment to SDGs Through HBAP Village Program and Puspasada Program
PT Huadian Bukit Asam Power (HBAP) continues to demonstrate its commitment to sustainable development by launching the HBAP Village Program and PUSPASADA Program. Both programs focus on empowering the community of Tanjung Lalang Village, Tanjung Agung District, through the utilization of sustainable and innovative local resources, Tuesday, (10/12/2024).
The HBAP Village Program is an effort to improve the welfare of the Tanjung Lalang Village community through fostered partner groups with mentoring and education methods. This program includes training related to organic farming that can be planted in home yards, agricultural product management, and education on branding agricultural products so that they have a higher selling value.
Meanwhile, the PUSPASADA Program (Village Waste Management Center) focuses on integrated household waste management. Through this program, the community receives education about waste sorting, the application of a biodigester system to utilize organic waste into biogas as a substitute for cooking gas, and the implementation of waste recycling that has economic value.
Through collaboration with the Riejalang Lestari fostered partner group consisting of more than 40 community members, these two programs are designed to provide a real impact on the welfare of residents. Utilization of yard land and waste management not only increases income but also creates a cleaner and healthier environment.
Organic agricultural products produced by the Riejalang Lestari fostered partner group have now met the needs of the company's canteen, and have successfully penetrated the well-known retail market in South Sumatra by being accepted at Hypermart City Mall Lahat. This achievement shows an increase in the selling value of agricultural products while expanding economic benefits for the people of Tanjung Lalang Village.
The Head of Tanjung Lalang Village, Edi Anwar, expressed his appreciation for the program run by HBAP in his village, "We really appreciate the activities and programs carried out by HBAP in Tanjung Lalang Village. The enthusiasm of the residents can be seen from their spirit of working together in the Riejalang Lestari group. The name Puyang Riejalang Sakti which was taken as the identity of this fostered partner group is also one of the factors that makes the community proud and even more enthusiastic in running this program," he said.
With the HBAP Village Program and the PUSPASADA Program, HBAP not only contributes to producing energy for the country, but also plays an active role in creating positive, sustainable changes for the surrounding community. HBAP is committed to continuing to provide long-term benefits through programs that are in line with the vision of sustainable development.
