HBAP is carrying out fruit and bamboo seedling planting activities in the operational area of PLTU Sumsel-8 at the end of 2024.

Tanjung Lalang, December 31, 2024 – In order to support environmental preservation while strengthening the company's social responsibility commitment, HBAP is carrying out fruit and bamboo seedling planting activities in the operational area of PLTU Sumsel-8 at the end of 2024.
HBAP planted 12 fruit seedlings and 100 bamboo seedlings. The fruit seedlings were planted in the office area of PLTU Sumsel-8, while the bamboo was planted in the Coal Yard area. This planting aims to create a greener environment, maintain ecosystem balance, and provide long-term benefits both ecologically and aesthetically.
This planting activity was carried out in two stages, namely on December 26, 2024 and December 31, 2024, as part of a series of company activities ahead of the new year. Fruit seedlings were planted in the office area of PLTU Sumsel-8, to beautify the area while providing useful harvests. And Bamboo seedlings are planted in the Coal Yard area, which plays an important role in the operation of the PLTU. Bamboo is chosen because of its effective function in preventing erosion, absorbing carbon, and improving environmental quality.
This activity involves the active participation of HBAP employees and the management team of PLTU Sumsel-8. This collaboration shows the spirit of togetherness in preserving the environment around the operational area.
This activity is part of HBAP's efforts to support environmental preservation while supporting the sustainability of the ecosystem around PLTU Sumsel-8. In addition, planting fruit and bamboo seedlings is expected to:
• Reduce the environmental impact of operational activities.
• Increase biodiversity in the operational area.
• Provide long-term ecological, aesthetic, and economic benefits.
Planting is carried out using a method that considers sustainability aspects. Seedlings are selected based on suitability to soil and climate conditions in the PLTU Sumsel-8 area. After planting, HBAP also ensures ongoing care, such as routine watering and growth monitoring.
This activity is not only a symbol of HBAP's commitment to environmental preservation, but also a real effort to create a balance between energy needs and ecosystem sustainability. With the spirit of togetherness, HBAP continues to contribute to building a greener and more sustainable future.
