From Office to Classroom, for a Smart Nation

In the spirit of sharing knowledge and educating future generations, PT Huadian Bukit Asam Power (HBAP) together with PT CHD Power Plant Operation Indonesia (CHDPPOI) held an exciting activity entitled “From Office to Classroom, for a Smart Nation” at Bukit Asam Elementary School, Tanjung Enim on May 19, 2025. This activity is part of the company's social program that focuses on education. HBAP and CHDPPOI employees transformed into volunteer teachers for a day, presenting educational materials that introduced elementary school children to the world of electricity. They learned how PLTU (Steam Power Plant) plays an important role in providing energy for daily life.

With an interactive and fun delivery style, students were invited to understand the process of electricity production to distribution, as well as how electricity is used in their daily activities - from turning on the lights to charging gadgets. The children were also invited to discuss the importance of saving energy and protecting the surrounding environment. not only learning in class, this activity was also enlivened with a quiz with prizes, goodie bag distribution, and the handover of plaques from PLTU to schools and vice versa. The enthusiasm of the students and teachers shows that collaboration between industry and education can create a real positive impact.

Through this activity, PLTU Tanjung Lalang hopes to continue to contribute in creating a smart and energy-aware society. The company's commitment is not only limited to providing electricity, but also building people through activities that touch directly on the community - especially in the world of education.
