The Tanjung Lalang Power Plant provides efficient electricity generation and is environmentally responsible

The Tanjung Lalang Power Plant provides efficient electricity generation and is environmentally responsible. One of the main technologies used is supercritical technology, which functions to increase the efficiency of power generation by producing steam at very high temperatures and pressures, thereby generating more energy with less fuel consumption.

Supercritical technology reduces the amount of coal fuel used and emissions produced. This makes it more environmentally friendly compared to conventional power plants, as supercritical power plants can generate more energy with less fuel.

The commitment to emission control is also demonstrated through the installation of a Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) system. This technology reduces sulfur dioxide (SO₂) levels from coal combustion before exhaust gases are released into the atmosphere. As a result, air quality is maintained, and the potential for air pollution is minimized.

In addition, the Tanjung Lalang PLTU is equipped with an Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP), a device that captures residual combustion dust particles using electrostatic principles. The presence of ESP further strengthens the emission control system, so that the exhaust gas released into the environment has undergone a rigorous filtering process.

All operational activities at the power plant are carried out based on the principles of sustainability and high environmental standards. Waste management is conducted in an integrated and responsible manner to prevent pollution and maintain the balance of the ecosystem around the operational area.
