HBAP distributed 7 cattle & 3 goats to villages surrounding Sumsel-8 Power Plant, celebrating Eid al-Adha 1447 H through compassion and community.

June 2026 — In celebration of Eid al-Adha 1447 H / 2026, PT Huadian Bukit Asam Power (HBAP) continued its longstanding tradition of sharing with surrounding communities through the distribution of qurban animals to villages located near the Sumsel-8 Power Plant.

The initiative reflects HBAP’s ongoing commitment to fostering harmonious relationships with local communities and stakeholders while embracing the values of compassion, solidarity, and social responsibility that are central to Eid al-Adha.

As part of the program, HBAP distributed seven qurban cattle to seven villages surrounding the company’s operational area. In addition, three qurban goats were provided to local government and community representatives in Tanjung Agung Subdistrict, recognizing their continued support and cooperation throughout the company’s operations.

More than an annual tradition, the qurban distribution forms part of HBAP’s broader commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainable community engagement. The program reflects the company’s belief that strong and lasting relationships with surrounding communities are built through consistent interaction, mutual support, and shared values.

What makes the initiative particularly meaningful is its continuity. Since the construction phase of the Sumsel-8 Power Plant and throughout its operational years, HBAP has consistently participated in Eid al-Adha celebrations by distributing qurban animals to neighboring communities. This continuity reflects the company’s dedication to growing alongside the communities that have been part of its journey from the very beginning.

Amid ongoing economic challenges faced by many households, the company hopes the qurban distribution can provide tangible benefits and bring joy to families celebrating the religious holiday. The initiative also serves as a reminder of the importance of generosity, mutual care, and social solidarity.

Representing the company, Gusti Anggara, Site General Manager of PT Huadian Bukit Asam Power, emphasized that Eid al-Adha is not only a religious observance but also an opportunity to strengthen relationships between the company and surrounding communities.

“Since the construction phase until today, HBAP has remained committed to maintaining togetherness with surrounding communities through various social initiatives, including the annual distribution of qurban animals. We hope this contribution brings benefits and happiness to the community while further strengthening the harmonious relationship that has been built between the company, local communities, and stakeholders,” said Gusti Anggara.

Appreciation was also expressed by community representatives. Edy Anwar, Head of Tanjung Lalang Village, conveyed his gratitude for the company’s continued support through the qurban program.

“On behalf of the people of Tanjung Lalang Village, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to PT Huadian Bukit Asam Power for consistently providing qurban animals to villages surrounding the company every year. This support is very meaningful for the community, particularly amid current economic challenges. We hope the positive relationship between the company and the community will continue to grow stronger in the years ahead,” he stated.

Through initiatives such as the annual qurban distribution, HBAP continues to demonstrate its commitment to creating positive social impact and strengthening community relations. Guided by the spirit of togetherness and social care, the company remains dedicated to growing sustainably alongside the communities surrounding its operational area.
